Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2, 2026

This policy explains what personal information K-WARRIORS collects, why, who touches it, and how to make us delete it. We are a small company and our data practices are small too — this page names every category we hold and every company we work with. Reading it takes about five minutes.

1Who is responsible

TAEGEUK CO., LTD. (주식회사 태극), Business Registration 709-88-03489, Seoul, Republic of Korea, is the controller of your personal information. Privacy questions and requests go to hello@kwarriors.com — your K-Warrior reads it, not a queue.

We measure site traffic with a cookieless analytics tool (Vercel Web Analytics). It counts page views, referrers, country and device type in aggregate. It sets no cookies, stores no personal identifiers, and cannot follow you across other sites.

We also keep a short security log. If a single network address requests our listing data far faster than a person could read it, we record that address, the browser string and the time, refuse further requests, and delete the record after 30 days. It is used only to stop automated copying of our listings — never for advertising or profiling.

2What we collect, and why

WhatWhy
Name, email, phone / WhatsAppTo reply to you, and to run your booking.
Nationality, visa type, arrival dateSome homes, banks and procedures depend on them. We ask only what the service in question actually needs.
Dates, budget, occupants, preferencesTo shortlist homes worth checking for you.
Passport detailsOnly when a confirmed booking requires them, never at signup.
Medical notes, allergiesOnly if you choose to tell us, only used for the care service you asked for.
Messages with usKept so the person helping you knows your case, and as the record behind incident reports.
Usage data (pages viewed, device, approximate location from IP)To keep the site working and understand what breaks.

What we do not collect: we never see or store your card number or PayPal credentials — payment happens on PayPal's systems. We do not collect biometric data, we do not buy data about you from brokers, and we do not track you across other websites.

3What we never do with it

4Who touches your data

We work with a small number of vendors and partners who process personal information on our behalf — for hosting and databases, payment processing, sign-in, maps, form delivery and messaging. Each is bound to protect your information, receives only what its task requires, and may not use it for anything else. Your payment details are processed by our payment provider on its own systems and never reach ours.

Beyond these processors, we disclose personal information only: to the landlord or operator of your confirmed home (your name, dates and contact — what a check-in requires); to a clinic, bank or office when you book an accompaniment and only what that appointment needs; to your institution if it pays for your placement (placement status, never your private messages); or when Korean law or a court validly requires it. If we are ever part of a merger or acquisition, you will be notified before your data changes hands.

5Your rights

Under Korea's Personal Information Protection Act — and we honour these for every guest, whatever your nationality — you can ask us at any time to: show you everything we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop processing it. Email hello@kwarriors.com; we respond within 10 days. Deleting your data ends services that depend on it, and we will tell you which before acting. You may also complain to the Personal Information Protection Commission (privacy.go.kr) or the Korea Internet & Security Agency (privacy.kisa.or.kr, 118).

6How long we keep it

Twelve months after your stay ends, your personal information is deleted — earlier if you ask. Two exceptions: records Korean law requires us to keep (tax and transaction records, kept for the statutory period, then deleted), and records needed for an unresolved dispute, kept until it closes. Verification photos and videos of a property are records about the property, and are kept without your personal details.

7Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is restricted by row-level security, and the number of people with access is currently exactly one — which is its own kind of access control. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects your data, we will notify you and the authorities as Korean law requires, promptly and in plain language.

8Cookies

We use a handful of functional cookies and local storage: your session if you sign in, your language and currency choice, and your saved homes. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers. That is why there is no cookie banner — there is nothing to opt out of.

9Children

The platform is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect children's data; if a booking includes a minor in your family, we hold only what the home requires (age and count), provided by you as their guardian.

10Changes

If this policy materially changes, you get an email 30 days before it takes effect, and the date at the top changes. Quiet edits to past promises are not something we do.
